Our Warranty
The Warranty of Rubber Paving Pour in Place Dura-Grip Rubber Coatings LTD.
Warrantees the workmanship and, in conjunction with our manufacturer, the materials for a period of 5 years, against any abnormal defects. This is from the date of the completed job being signed off as satisfactory or as signified by being paid in full.
We always aim to create the perfect rubber paved surface. We need to be mindful of some inherent properties of rubber paving products that may affect the appearance of the rubber paving. Product is applied by hand thereby possibly creating some imperfections.
– The urethane binder we use to bind the rubber crumb together may amber with the sun’s rays and this may change the colour of the colour rubber crumb. This ambering may dissipate over time. Lighter colours are affected more.
What Our Warranty Covers:
– Cracking, however, not when it is due to excessive substrate movement. Rubber Paving should not crack if substrate movement is less than ½ inch. Flaking or crumbling of the rubber paving, however normal wear and tear due to aging and to constant traffic may require some maintenance over time. Typical driveway traffic may require a re-coat of urethane in 5 years and a very busy driveway may require a re-coat sooner.
The Warranty is not valid under the following circumstances:
– Bobcats or other similar heavy equipment are operated on the surface, either for plowing or driving. Storing a pickup truck or trailer on the surface should not cause damage.
– Vehicles other than cars and light duty trucks are driven on the surface.
– ‘Dry’ turning vehicle wheels may have an effect over time on the rubber surface.
– Extra-ordinary chemicals may damage the urethane and therefore the rubber paving
– Brake fluid, gasoline or diesel, or other similar products, are not normally present. If such chemicals are introduced to the rubber paving, neutralize, and rinse off immediately.
Any Warranty repair work will be performed by the same company who did the original work. Colour matching will be as close as we can achieve. Warranty can only be performed in the summer months and depending on when we are notified, the repair may have to wait till the following year. Communication will continue until repair completed.
